The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily fuel operations, ensuring accurate stock management, maintaining compliance with safety regulations, and supporting efficient fuel distribution processes.

Job Summary

The Supervisor (Fuel Operations) will oversee daily fuel operations by ensuring efficient stock control, accurate inventory reconciliation, timely reporting, and strict compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards. The role requires close collaboration with contractors, vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless fuel management and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Supervise daily fuel operations to ensure efficient handling, storage, and distribution of fuel products.
  • Prepare and publish daily fuel operations reports for management review and decision-making.
  • Monitor fuel consumption and collection activities, investigating and escalating abnormal variances where necessary.
  • Manage the receipt, issuance, reconciliation, and inventory control of AGO (Automotive Gas Oil) and PMS (Premium Motor Spirit) stocks on a daily and monthly basis.
  • Process documentation for community contractors’ goods receipts and maintain accurate records of fuel deliveries.
  • Manage customer fuel requests using the Fuel Management System (FMS) and SAP to ensure accountability and accurate financial reporting.
  • Verify contractor deliveries against approved purchase orders before acceptance.
  • Prepare material movement requests and gate passes to facilitate fuel deliveries.
  • Ensure full compliance with company Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and operational procedures.
  • Conduct HSE capability assessments for AGO vendors and monitor compliance with safety standards.
  • Prepare government intermediary memos relating to AGO vendors where required.
  • Generate monthly customer charge-back reports for fuel issued during the reporting period.
  • Maintain accurate operational records and prepare additional reports as required by management.

Requirements

Interested applicants should possess:

  • OND, HND, or Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in fuel operations, inventory management, logistics, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of fuel stock management, reconciliation, and operational reporting.
  • Experience using SAP, Fuel Management Systems (FMS), or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) applications will be an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication, customer relationship, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
